Asian session starts at the roll over time universally accepted by traders as 0:00 GMT, which is 5 PM EST.
At that time we have an opening of Sidney, Australian market. Next, true Asian market , which is also more liquid, is Tokyo open @ 7 PM EST, here we have Japanese traders active. Next, we have Europena session open with London traders coming in @ 2 AM EST, which brings in even more liquidity as London until 2 years ago was the biggest volume turn over for Forex spot traders . At 7 AM EST New York boys " come to town", which is the opening of American session...markets slow down once they go to lunch @ 12 -noon EST...Hope it helps
